63-Year-Old Woman With Fever, Generalized Weakness, and Syncope
A 63-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with a 2-day history of fever and generalized weakness. She additionally reported an episode of syncope on the day of presentation, resulting in head injury from standing height. Three days previously, she had sought care at her chiropractor for neck pain that had failed to improve. Review of all of systems was negative.
