Historical Profiles of Mayo

      Fifty years ago, Dr. W. Randolph (Randy) Lovelace II joined the staff of the Mayo Clinic as head of a section of surgery. He had entered the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in 1936 and had obtained the M.S. degree in surgery from the University of Minnesota in 1940. In 1934, he had received the M.D. degree from Harvard University.
